Meet the Team
Mrs. Lengyel
With over 20 years of experience in the classroom, including 16 years as a middle school math teacher Mrs. Lengyel developed strong expertise in math instruction and student-centered learning. Mrs. Lengyel holds a Master’s degree in Mathematics Education and has extensive experience supporting students across a range of skill levels.
For the past five years, Mrs. Lengyel has worked in a co-teaching setting, helping to create an inclusive environment for diverse learners. Having been an English Language Learner, she understands the challenges students may face and connects meaningfully with multilingual learners and their families.
Mrs. Lengyel focuses on making math accessible and engaging through differentiated instruction while building critical thinking, problem-solving, and confidence for long-term success.
Dr. Varay
Dr. Varay brings over 20 years of experience in education, having worked with students across elementary, middle school, high school, and university settings. She holds a Master’s degree in Psychology and Education with an emphasis in Special Education, as well as a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology.
Originally from El Salvador and fully bilingual in English and Spanish, Dr. Varay is able to connect with and support a diverse range of students and families. Her background allows her to understand different learning needs, communication styles, and cultural perspectives in education.
Her academic training, combined with extensive classroom experience, informs her approach to helping students build strong academic foundations. She specializes in structured, skill-based instruction, executive functioning strategies, and individualized support that promotes confidence and long-term success.
Dr. Varay is passionate about creating a supportive and engaging learning environment where students feel understood, capable, and motivated to grow.
